Integrated Planning & Project Controls

How It Works

We provide a standardized process for planning, developing, and maintaining project schedules using the Critical Path Method (CPM). This service ensures all time-management deliverables are prepared with technical rigor, transparency, and real-time analytics.

Scope

Applies to all MEICON PMC, Design-Build, and Client-Advisory projects across Building, Infrastructure, Industrial, and Institutional sectors. Covers Pre-construction to Handover phases using Primavera P6, MS Project, and Procore.

Service Overview

End-to-end planning services offering Baseline Schedule Development, Resource & Cost Loading, Delay Analysis, and 4D Planning. Our hybrid model (On-site + GCC) provides 40-60% cost efficiency vs conventional in-house setups.

Operations Framework

CPM Process Flow

01.
Project Mobilization & Data Collection
  • Gather contract, drawings, and scope data.
  • Develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) aligned with cost codes and scope divisions.
  • Identify key milestones, deliverables, and constraints.
  • Define schedule coding structure (discipline, zone, trade).
  • Build logic-linked CPM network in Primavera P6 / MS Project.
  • Define activity durations, dependencies, and float logic.
  • Apply resource and cost loading based on project budget and manpower histogram.
  • Generate Critical Path & Near-Critical Activities Report.
  • Review with Project Manager and client before baseline sign-off.
  • Link schedule to project cost (WBS) and procurement logs.
  • Integrate with Procore / BIM 360 for activity-based progress tracking.
  • Upload schedule to Power BI dashboard for live KPI reporting.
  • Establish revision control system (SCH-LOG-01).
  • Collect weekly progress data from site and GCC teams.
  • Update actual start / finish dates, percent complete, and resource usage.
  • Generate Variance Reports (EV, SPI, CPI).
  • Conduct weekly schedule review meetings with Project Manager.
  • Run “what-if” simulations for critical activities and delays.
  • Update revised completion forecasts and resource reallocations.
  • Issue Early Warning Notices for slippages > 5 %.
  • Maintain Recovery Schedules for client approval.
  • Perform Time Impact Analysis (TIA) for EOT claims.
  • Maintain cause-effect log (SCH-CLA-01).
  • Prepare CPM-based delay narratives for contractual substantiation.
  • Coordinate with Legal / Contracts for final submission.
  • Weekly / monthly reports include:
    • Executive Summary & Critical Path Trends
    • Milestone Slippage and Float Consumption
    • Resource Loading vs Utilization
    • 2-Week / 4-Week Look-Ahead Charts
  • Dashboards published through Power BI, accessible to clients 24×7.
  • Approved schedules and reports stored in SharePoint repository.
  • Lessons learned documented and fed into MEICON Knowledge Base.
  • Historical project data used for benchmarking and AI-driven forecasting.

Quality &
Communication

Quality Standards

  • All schedules follow MEICON Scheduling Manual (2025 Edition).
  • Must include full logic ties, resource loading, and cost codes.
  • QC Checklist (SCH-QC-01) to be completed prior to approval.
  • Client acceptance required for baseline and major revisions.

Communication & Control

  • Schedule progress shared weekly via Teams or Procore.
  • All files stored on SharePoint with version control.
  • Transmittal ID format: SCH-[Project]-[Rev#]-[YYMM].
  • Client queries addressed within 48 hours.
